How Do I Know
Which Platform I Have?
Go to http://www.yourstorename.com/commerce.html - and
click on the 'Display Commerce's License' link or
enter the URL of the Commerce executable
followed by '?version=action'
(i.e.http://www.yourstorename.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?version=action)
At the end of the version number will be a
letter indicating the platform:
A- Windows NT/Windows 2000
B- Linux RedHat/Slackware
C- Solaris Sun (Sparc)
D- Mac OS-X
E- FreeBSD
F- Digital Unix/tru64
G- IRIX

If you are on a UNIX Platform
The following instructions will assist Unix based Web
merchants in securing their site.
Step 1: Download
the htaccess file (Please be sure to right click
and 'Save As' to download this file. MAC users - press
the 'Control' key, then 'Save As.')
Step 2: Rename the htaccess file ".htaccess"
(place a . infront of htaccess).
Step 3: Place the htaccess file inside your
PDG_Commerce directory.
